we have had a dog from this rescue for 9 months and he was a part of the family, spoilt :) His temperament changed with age and he got very nippy and aggressive, he bit my husband and drew blood and then went for my daughter. We tried to work with him but the children were getting more scared of him and other dogs.I called the rescue to return him and they did not make it easy to give him back, despite the fact they tell you to return them to the rescue if you ever have a problem. He was a great dog until recently and it sad to see him go but believe he needs a different family without kids. The rescue demanded we pay for the final set of shots which he did not have as he attacked my husband the day we were taking him getting into the car but if I do not pay for them they wont take him and if I give him away to another person or pound they will fine me!
We still care for the dog and just wanted to find him the best home but paying out more for a dog that will not be a part of my family is very frustrating and unfair. I paid for him when we got him, gave him his shots, cared and spoiled him and now they make us look like we are cruel. The dog is not good with kids as he is too aggressive although I think he is thinking he is protective but I would think twice about dealing with a rescue who promotes fines and does not put kids safety first but their pocket book.
